Default jrsc b16a wont idle

Just Finished the jr install on my b16a crx ( not a fun job ), and the car wont hold an idle, it just bounces from 200 to 1200 rpm for a few seconds then dies. any ideas? No check engine lights, seems to run fine, but have to give it a little gas or it will die.

Make sure the MAP and TPS connectors aren't reversed.

How about some details on the JRSC b16 CRX install? Lots of articles asking questions and some that say so and so did it, but no details. I thinking of doing the same. I'd appreciatate any tips.

It wasnt as hard as i thought it would be, the hardest part is just getting the oil cooler hoses that are on the 1st gen b16a to fit, it is hard to run them with out kinking them and then it is tough to fit your oil filter on. there is a few things that need to be re- located on the firewall like feul filter, and you need to re-route your heater hoses with 90 Degree hoses. it is a headache , but it fits in the engine bay with no problems, besides were the alternator is, you will need to pound a good sized hole into you frame or the pully will rub. any other specific questions id be glad to answer.

sounds like you have a vaccum leak....check all vaccum ports...make sure all the gaskets are installed correctly...check around the trottle body for leaks...i'm pretty sure thats the problem

i've been wondering if this was possible because i'd love to do it also. just a few more questions:

-what application did you buy for the sc? the 99-00 civic one?
-where did you buy it from and how much?
-what motor mount kit did you use? (hasport billet?)
-if you did use the 99-00 civic application, someone told me there would be a conflict between OBD and non-OBD systems. did you have to change any wiring?
-did you need any other upgrades such and fuel pump, injectors, etc?

i hope that isnt too much but its just that i've been dying waiting for someone to finally do this. sorry i dont have suggestions for you but i hope you figure it out soon.

thanks & good luck!

It is the 99-00 kit.
I bought it used for 1400. ( other wise i would have gon turbo but 1400 was a good deal )
Im using the old school hasport mounts they are grey with red bushings.
As for the wiring i dindnt change any thing i just put the kit on with everything that came with it.
I did buy a 255 walbro pump for feul and im running the endyne stepper pulley.
As you can see by my first post it still has an idle problem ill be replacing the throttle body gasket saturday and check all hose clamps for vacum leaks.
