Default 96 ITR ball joint replacement?

Will a GSR ball joint work?

Also, the wheels bearings from a GSR work in the stock ITR hubs or they need to be used with the Civic hybrid electric?

this is an educated guess but the ball joints should work, I don't think the gsr wheel bearing will work in the stock itr setup though.

I looked into the wheel bearing a while back and no they wont work. I dont remember why but they wont work.

Ball joints im not sure. You could always cross referance the parts on the dealer site and see if they come up as the same P/N

You guys are supplying wrong info. The balljoints and wheel bearings from a Civic would even work, so yes 'GSR' parts will work.

I don't have an Acura dealership on my island, so I went to the Honda dealership and bought Civic wheel bearings and ball joints for my R.

are we talking front wheel bearings or rear? 1996 4 lug 4x114.3 wheel bearings are 94-01 teggy, any model, ls, gsr, type r. Same for the lower ball joints, if your talking rear hub bearings I dont know, I have heard hybrid hubs work but I have no first hand experiance. If were are talking front bearings for a jdm itr 5 lug then 97-01 crv, ball joints are the same as the 4 lug stuff.

When in doubt, look at the part numbers at a site like this:
www.hondapartsunlimited.com

They are the same in this case. Keep in mind that you will suffer a minimum of a 10whp penalty for using a part found on a non-R.

I suppose not. They are still the same. The difference with the 96 was the hubs and brake rotors. The calipers are the same as a gen 3 GSR.

I think the ball joints/wheel bearings from Integra is all the same 94-01 but the wheel bearing is diffrent if you have the JDM ITR 5 lug. So you would need like CRV wheel bearing for the bigger hubs.

Not %100 sure...

The front caliper bracket is not the same.

I don't know about that this isn't what this thread is about. There's a thread here that I believe says the crv front spindle is the same part number as the 36mm itr hub so you may want to try using those.

As for the 96 4x114.3 itr hubs I used a gsr ball joint and wheel bearing with no problem.
