Default which transmission is this?

I got this transmission a while ago. He SAID it was rebuilt about 15k miles ago and it came out of a d series cable crx. But the problem is, the part number sticker was removed. I called honda and they said they didn't know any other way to find out which transmission it is besides the part number. Here are a bunch of pics of it maybe someone has a similar tranny.

any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to sell the dang thing

thanks in advanced

I think the only way to figure it out would be to take off the top casing and count the number of teeth on the gears and divide them to match the ratios with whatever tranny it is.

Thanks for the help. way to think outside the box. question, how hard is it to tear apart these trannys? I have a DIY saved on how to tear apart a hydro tranny but not for an older cable tranny. Is it the same concept?

Yeah, they are almost identical except for the cable trannies I have done don't have those small steel ***** along with those bolts with the spring on them so don't get scared thinking you lost them lol.

That is an 88-91 civic d15/d16 transmission. You can calculate ratio by putting the transmission in 3rd gear and turning the output shaft rotations untill you get one full rotation of the differential.

Do that and post your findings if you do not know how to figure it out.

3000/6000/9000 = Si or ZC

If it uses the standard US axles its an Si.
