installing ground controls?
anyone here with ground controls that still have the instructions?? i got some used one from this guy but i guess he included the wrong instructions cuz it only had instructions for tokico shocks. gonna install it this weekend with a friend so i need as much info as possible if anyone can help. thanks
go get a haynes, helms, or chiltons...either one will work for this particular project...i'm sure others will pipe in with some comments on one of the three books, but for this particular job, either will work....
kaz, do u have the .pdf by any chance? ive search through the whole site 'www.ground-control.com' and found nada unless theres another site for it ...
we've done spring installation before so thats a not a problem, but just want to make sure what part of the coilover sleeves goes where and stuff.

actually, me and my friend wrote up a how-to installation when we installed neuspeed sports + kyb agx shocks on my car .. i just need the instructions that came with the ground control coilovers on how to assemble and stuff to make sure we set it up right.

Lets get back on the subject. What other parts are the ground controls supposed to come with besides the coilovers? For some reason I have a bunch maybe 12 little rubber rings just a tad bigger than a quarter. I have no idea what they are for.
here is a picture from my GC's. now bear in mind that these are the ones for koni struts so they may vary a bit depending on what struts you are using.

[[edit] damnitt! well the picture didnt come out as big as i wanted, and i cant get it any bigger. sorry.

If you lay out all the ground control pieces, 4 springs, 4 sleeves, 4 perches, maybe some o-rings, rubber dampers/pads and then jack up the car, remove wheels and look at the suspension from underneath and then from the top it all becomes quite obvious. You don't really need a manual or instructions. Just when you take everything apart keep all the washers, spacers, bushings, nuts, etc carefully in order so you put them back together in the right order.
Well I already did the fronts. I did not use any 0-rings since I had those four long rubber tubes that would fit inbetween the shock and the sleeve. My questions is the tower boot that came with the coilovers that goes on top of the spring, does that replace the rubber from the stock boot or just sandwich it inbetween the oem rubber boot and spring? Thanks
