TEG TRANNY HELP!!
Anyone know if i can throw a type-r trans on a gsr engine using stock axels and ****? I found a steal on a brand new jdm type r trans and dont wanna pass it up but i dont wanna to spend a ton of money to be able to use it. I have a 94 gsr in a 92 civic eh hatch. Car has a teg 4 wheel disc brake conversion on it.
Pretty sure you will need the ITR 5 bolt axels.
I also looking for an ITR tranny for my 94 LS, the rest of the suspension will be aftermarket, I was told when looking into what is avalable, [lots] that if I went with the ITR tranny the axels are diff., [thicker]. 94
BTW what is a "steal", how much for the transmission?

Yes you can. As long as you're using any b-series tranny. Just make sure that you use your gsr halfshaft and axles. The type r's are the same but don't waste your time or $ buying them. The only thing you'd have to do is make sure you use manual transmission fluid from Honda, Pennzoil synchromesh, or Royal Purple manual transmission fluid cause they have the additives that's needed for the LSD.
