i have a b16 swap in my hatch using a s1 cable trans from a 90 teg, going in 1st gear is really hard unless im at a complete stop. is this normal? i was told theres no synchro's for 1st gear but that doesnt seem right to me, what could be the problem? its full of fluid and all other gears shift smooth.. i wanna take a wack at auto-x this spring but im not sure if this will hold me up or not

 

lol its called first gear lockout its supposed to do this

 

this is my first b series, my d15 in my crx dont do this, and my d16 crx didnt either.

 

I've had this same issue with the dx trans I just installed. Didn't happen with the old one.

 

oh i've been wondering this too i'll be at a rolling speed like 1-5 mph and it wont go into first so i just started puttin it in second... so why does it lockout like that?

 

my rex does that too, as did my 89 dx, pretty sure its normal

 

hmm... ive never auto-x before and i want to try it but will need 1st on a autocross track? if so im gonna have to fix this
