Default Going obd1 the hard way!

Hey guys I wanted to get some peoples opinions or experience on this. I have an 89 hatch that has been hacked to hell an back by the previous owner. I am also in the process of building my mini-me. So I am thinking about replacing my entire cabin an engine harness with one from a 94 ex that is at my buddies house. I understand I will probably need to lenghten or shorten some wires. This is sorta a project DD so I am thinking of doing this so I can also put in all the power options. Let me know what you guys think
Thanks.

converting ob1 was not too complicated. If you are tech savvy, and can use a soldering irong/heat shrink/or good tape, not hard.

Definately keep the stock cabin harness, even if you need to find another donor. The 92+ cabin harness will be majorly different. As far as the ecu wiring, get a donor harness from a 92+ car, preferably junkyard car that you can hack up a bit. get the full engine harness, then get the car side of the same harness to where it meets the ecu. There's maybe at most, maybe 20 wires to connect to the car from that harness. Everything else is engine to ecu. I was able to repin the harness' on the ds shock tower to the obd1 plugs as well. Needed to run the big IGN/Starter feed to behind the interior fuse box. If you have the engine out, it makes it much easier sifting through the old muck that you'll be pulling out. Most of the honda colors remained the same too, maybe a small handful of wires that need to be questioned.

What if I were to replace it with a 88-91 sedan harness? Then I could get all my power options (windows, locks, mirrors) an still stay ef then just run like a rywire obd1 jumper harness
