If you feel compelled to put something back there id only do a two point like this.

With out a firm place to put additional support two is the better option.
Personally id buy this one and move on to the next project.

2. Strut bars do more on strut cars. Civics, integras and accords from 88-01 are not strut cars. They have shocks. Yes there is a differance.

yup. i ran a few of those cars and strut bars never made a differance. i had them on to make weight and (in the back) to keep the tires up against the harness bar when the back was packed.
2.)Then why do i feel much improvement when i installed ebay strut bars (front and back) on my 1993 Nissan 240?? Hoping to feel the same with my Civic soon.
Thanks for the 'hater car' clarification.
It made a differance on the 240 because that is a macpherson strut car. Strut cars see all the load in the strut tower (without getting into specifics) where as a shock-based car has a seperate upper control arm that sees load as well as the shock tower.

without any understanding of wheel rates and suspension design, this thread is going nowhere.

Struts vs. Shocks
Although shocks and struts are a lot alike in function, they are very different in design. A shock is designed to control spring motion as is the strut, but the strut acts as a suspension part and sometimes replaces other suspension parts. Sometimes used as pivot points for the steering and as an adjustment tool for alignment purposes, struts can absorb side loads where shocks do not.'
