I have a little camber wear up front..How should I fix it?
I have a little camber wear up front..
I have a 93 civic hatch with tokico adjustables and am dropped about to the bottom. Over about 2 years on these kumho ecstas I can see the wear inside. about inch and a half very little tread there. \
Should I use the washer trick? What is the washer trick?
I really don't want to buy a camber kit but which one would I buy?
Can I just buy an adjustable bar for underneath so I can pull the wheels back together?

well 2 years is pretty damn good without a camber kit
if you want to eliminate the problem
camber kit + alignment unless if you hit something with your car
i have never heard of an adjustable bar that pulls the wheels back together
skunk2 has always made nice products

your problem is you need an alignment to fix the toe. the wear is caused by the bad toe, not negative camber.
you fix it by getting an alignment after you get a new set of tires.
the problem occured because you lowered it and changed the toe angle.
you do not need to get a "camber kit".

ehh well i always suggest for people to get a camber kit its just a habit. here in hawaii if you drop your car its required you have a camber kit and realigned
well u will still get camber wear but just like 70% LESS than before
if u get a a camber kit u will get even less but its def. not needed

o my toe problems..lol
Well my wheels are angled just a wee bit negative. The top of my 15 inch integra mesh's go in and under my fender a wee bit. looks more like a camber angle problem. But I have also hit a couple things in the past that may have jacked up my alignment also.
is it camber like it looks to me or toe like it doesn't look to me?
I don't mind getting the alignment but now you got me thinkin?
Main thought is I'm gonna get some drag radials so I don't want premature wear on my expensive tires.

Camber is easily visible, and thus is blamed for tire wear issues.
Toe is not visible to the eye. It is the invisible tire killer.
The factory alignment camber range is something like +-1*. The factory toe range is something like +-0.3*. Which sounds more important to keep accurate?
I daily drove for 2.5 years with -4* of front camber, with perfectly even tire wear. I also kept the toe at 0*, and when one alignment tech gave me the car back once with the front total toe off by 0.2*, I made him re-align it. "It's within the factory specs..." was answered with "Sure, but not my specs.".

allrighty I'll have the alignment checked.
I would rather do that than buy the kit anyhow. Well see how the next year goes with tire wear.
my kumhos look like they have 99% tread left but the insides are beat so I screwed myself.
thx ~Chris
