anyone race a GSR hatch?
i have a JDM GSR hatch (LSD) with intake and suspension but a stock engine for the moment and i love the Type R but what is the speed difference between the two? My car should be faster right?? its 2100 pounds and 180hp. but i am not sure how much faster. just curious if any has actually "raced" a real one b4.
Should be close.I raced a few in my old car and we were really close down low and up top I would start pulling away.I suppose that was due to the R's better gearing and added HP.
what actual car do you have?? civic hatch with B18c and tranny or a JDM Integra B18C?
i have a jdm integra and have raced one UKDM ITR (190bhp) and sat with him till about 100mph at which time he started to pull away, but not at any great rate tho. His car was completely stock, i have I/E + hi-flo cat (JDM)

JDM GSR in hatch @ 2100lbs.
JDM GSR = 10.6:1 w/ LSD You will roll ITR's all day in a drag race. Your setup is good for low 14's provided you are a good driver with the bolt ons, etc.

Yeah, a GSR hatch will roll a ITR in a 1/4......but driver always has a say in this! My ITR isn't much slower then my friends old GSR hatch.....but he has a H22 Hatch..so it is a different story

Up until the track event a few months ago the only ITR I couldn't beat was RatedR's. On the highway he was murdering me (And I had a JDM ITR motor).
hey thats good, i am getting a skunk2 intake manifold in a couple weeks, and JDM DC header and then in the summer Hondata stage 3 with JUN 3 cams, so i am think i will have a pretty good setup, but i may need a little bottle of 70 shot NOS to get my skinny *** off the line.

Dont get me wrong, ITR's are beautiful; but, i love running them. Mods are I/H/E/IM/Mugen chip/High flow cat/ 1/4 time is below. There is a boosted ITR here in Cincy that I wont even look twice at. Its sick. But otherwise, I wax em'.
Any decent ITR driver with bolt ons will give you a run for the money. It all comes down to the 60'.
(and yes I'm aware of what b18c eg's run, I own one, I'm also aware of what ITRs run w/ bolt-ons and good drivers, it's within a few tenths
)

Just want to make sure everybody is aware that the JDM GSR is 10.6:1 compression. Which is the same as the USDM ITR (I think!). AND its rated at 180hp.
Throw in a Skunk2 manifold and some ITR cams and hello to 13s
JDM GSR does NOT equal USDM GSR
BTW, I can source a JDM GSR right now if anybody might be interested.
