What parts are interchangeable with the JDM F22b sohc vtec ? Can they be interchangeable with the F22b1 ?

 

the (jdm) f22b sohc vtec is the (usdm) f22b1. i believe the f22b sohc did not use a coolant sensor near thermostat housing, and usdm did.

 

So what your saying is that its the same motor except the only difference in the ( jdm ) one is that is doesn't use a coolant temperature ? I ask because I have a ( JDM F22B ) Dohc and the bearings are messed up really bad and I need to do a swap.. I can careless about speed and what not , I just want something to replace that motor so I was thinking about the ( JDM ) F22b sohc vtec since its cheap and I'm not into the racing scene , just looks.. So if I did buy it , I would need to know if I can use the usdm parts to do a tune up and stuff like that on the ( jdm ) f22b sohc vtec

 

Just get any F22 bottom end for $75, and reuse your head?

If you keep the DOHC head, the use H23A1 parts, if you do the SOHC VTEC, as the other guy says, use all Accord EX B1 stuff.

 

So I can use any F22 bottom end for sure and reuse my head ?? If I can then I will since it will be cheaper that way but the thing is if I wanted to replace water pump , oil pump , and timing belt from what engine do I get that from ?? H23 ?

 

Any F22 bottom. Compression will be less or more depending. H23 t-belt. stock everything else.

 

Is there any websites that you guys know where the sell just the bottom ?
