ok here is whats going on when i start the car i hear a metal on metal pinging coming from what appears to be the front of the tranny case where the bell housing is so i dropped the tranny and my pilot bearing wasnt great so i replaced it as well as the throw out bearing put it back togather and still have the sound. I am guessing since its still sounding like this that its actually in the tranny itself nowprobly the bearing.

Mabe the input shaft bearing? Did you ever try moving the shaft to see if there was play?
