ok i got a 90 integra ls, newly rebuilt motor-all stock. Me and a friend went to the store one night -car felt fine. i dropped him off, was leaving the drive way and then pop a backfire and it died! it wont start it just makes backfire pops and- nothing! im just to fustrated right now to think of where to start--please someone help me out!

 

check out the usual things... spark plugs... oil... coolant.. then go onto the bigger things... like starter... distributor and so forth. could be several things that is causing it to backfire and not start.

 

Make sure you've got fuel, then check out the distributor, could be a faulty ignitor or main fuel relay.

 

Very possibly could be a timing belt issue!

 

That totally sucks!!!! Don't feel too bad I just blew my 92 GS-R up also!
