Hey guys my buddy just bought a 97 gsr and even though we have proof it's a gsr I thought it was weird it came with tan cloth instead of the black with speckles or the leather. I don't know a whole lot of detail about them so I just thought I'd ask if any of you guys have seen that. Thanks guys!

 

I thought leather wasn't standard in the GS/GSR until 98. Can't find documentation that states that right now though...

 

Ya I knew that but I have never seen one that came with ls webs and tan cloth

 

94-01 all came with and without leather seats but the 96-97 forest green gsr came with either tan cloth or tan leather seats. i dont know about the ls webs but i have seen some come with it. wierd

 

maybe the LS mesh's were swapped?

 

i have a full 98 gsr tan leather interior in very good condition for sale if he wants to make it leather

 

1. Leather was not standard on the GS-R until 1999. Interior color depends on exterior color for most models - for example, dark green Integras had a tan interior regardless of trim level. Thus, a GS-R with tan cloth does exist.

2. The "LS mesh" wheels you refer to were actually not used on the LS trim until 1999. They were first used on the GS-R trim in 1997 for that year only.

 

if its green then it came from the factory like that. my cousin has a green 97 GSR with tan cloth seats and the LS mesh. the LS mesh are also known as the 97 GSR rims since those are stock wheels for the 97 GSRs.

 

Yeah i thought that the green Gs-R came with the tan because most of the ones ive looked at on craigslist also have tan
