Icon2 Optional CD console question (97 Civic)

I currently have the OEM radio with CD control and the optional CD player. I am looking to upgrade to an aftermarket CD player, which I want to place in the optional console, but it seems like it's too slim to me. I'm pretty sure I'm wrong, but if anyone has pics of this set up it would be greatly appreciated.

My plan is to use an OEM block off plate for the radio and place the new CD player below.

TIA.

Justin

It should bolt right in, you may evan be able to use the screws that hold the stock CD player in place.

Depending on HU a "din" trim ring may be needed to fill gaps at face plate if the HUs trim ring will not work/fit. 94
