Default coolant gauge

Im in need of some help ok wen i start my car and let it warm up the coolant gauge goes up to normal temp but wen i drive it goes all they way back down to were it sits wen the car is off wat could make it do this it has a thermostat in it and the line hold pressure so let me know wat u guys think

If your heat is working normal while the gauge reads cold I would suspect there is something wrong with the sending unit or something like that.

ya i got a new one yesterday and it was stuck open and it wasnt a stock one either it was huge

ya but i think i might have a blow head gasket or it had it before idk theres a little bit of milky in the cap but very little and nothin in radtiator though i think it had one but is was changed but not positve

Blown HG is possible but you might just have a little random moisture in there.
Pull the valve cover and see if more of that crap is in there. If you're really worried get a leakdown test or pressure test the cooling system. There is also a tool that tests for hydrocarbons at your radiator cap.

well i have a hose runnin down behind my head from the valve cover could that do it

Is it the hose on the back left of the valve cover that normally connects to the intake tube? Is it just running off the VC and not connected to anything? If so, yeah I guess moisture could get in through there.

ya thats it i just hooked it up to my intake and there was a little in the valve cover but it was by were that peice goes in
