I posted this on the Accord forum but thought I would try here also. I recently bought a 2010 Accord EX w/ auto. I specified the remote start without doing any research on it. Bad move. The remote start works fine except I cannot open the doors or trunk without the engine then shutting off. This is how it is designed to work. I know Honda does this for safety reasons (or at least, legal liablility reasons) but as is the remote start is useless for me. I live in the South and want to be able to let my car cool off in the hot summer while loading items into the trunk (groceries, golf clubs, you get the idea). Is there any way to reconfigure the remote start so that the car doors and trunk can be opened without the engine stopping?
