I had some detonation during this last cold snap (FL) car was tuned at 85deg and and it was pinging like a ***** when it was in the 30's... any suggestions, maybe its not the trim?
Hmm... I don't know how you have the IAT trim setup, but it would be adding fuel, not taking away. Perhaps it wasn't adding enough. Do you have a wideband setup? How did that look? Did ECT reach normal temps?

trims were stock setting... thats why I was asking, my tuner said that typically you should take away timing at lower iats, but that goes against every bit of the (limited) knowledge on the matter that I have... ect was norm, the one thing i did notice is that the turbo spooled a bit earlier than normal, didnt have a datalog because i didnt want to keep doing it. Not sure on the afr's.
You can retard timing for lower IATs. It was probably spooling quicker because it's running richer. You'll honestly have to throw a wideband on there next time and see what it's doing before you'll be able to figure out where it's at and what needs to change. As soon as your setup is flowing more air than stock those correction numbers may need adjustment.
