i just picked up a 1995 gsr motor obd1 with a p72 ecu. im swaping this into my 1995 ls due to me spinning a bearing. my question is what all do i need to know before i swap. i know how to wire the vtec and all and i got a gsr throttle cable beacuse i was told to use one. what else do i need?? thanks in advance
Since the car is obd1 it should be a direct bolt on. Just wire up the knock sensor, vtec oil pressure and vtec solenoid. I HIGHLY recommend you to use a gsr or b16 transmission. The LS transmission is horrible with a gsr engine. You fall out of vtec everytime you shift for the next gear, been there done that.
I thought it wouldnt be that big of an issue, but it was. I just wasted my time because I eventually bought a type R trans and installed when I could have just done it all at once.

it should be just bolt on motor to motor. like redDAinteg said. just make all your wire right. i did the same on my 94 ls and put a 96 gsr motor with obd1 hardness and it runs great. the only problem was that my cruse control is already plug in but still dont work. dont know whats wrong there but it didnt bother me.
