Default Changing Color of Seats

I just bought these DA seats from the Junk that were actually well kept.
I just recently put them in my EF and I love the seats but the only thing I don't really like is the color that appears to look faded in certain areas. I was wondering if its possible to dye the seats or if anybody has experience doing it. It would be out of my budget to reupholster them, so my question is can I dye them all black without the dye rubbing off on my clothes or wearing off of the seats. Any before and pictures would be a great help to.

Here are the seats:

Note to administrator: I know that this may be the wrong place to post this but I feel that this is the only place that I would actually be able to get some good responses.

I have used a fabric dye from SEM before. It worked well, and didn't rub off. I would just follow all the prep and time directions. Dupli-color makes one similar that cost less, but not sure on the outcome with it.

When you spray dye them, they get stiff.
Don't do it,

I was wondering if some of that liquid shoe polish would work. But I'm not going to try it on my car.

those are bad ***. they are DB2 GSR seats. great find. really comfortable. i agree with the guy above they can get stiff. i used some vynil /fabric paint from autozone its duplicolor i think. aresol can. my suggestion is i hope you dont try to change the entire color cuz that means lots of coats and that is what causes stiffness. a few light coats or black should do the trick when it dries its like a gray color. dont paint the inserts. good luck

These seats are really clean. Dont see why you would want to do anything else to them. Your rear seats are vinyl so they wouldn't match up anyways. Dont fix anything that isn't broken.

The vinyl seats are going to be gone pretty soon.

Lil chorizo, your garbage, kick back

Anyways, the color of those seats look horrible in my opinion.
They may have been stylish in the 90s but not today, and thats my opinion, I could car less about yours. And to all you hating on me changing the color, I bet yet you fools would love to get your hands on my seats. Take your hating comments elsewhere. Buncha Internet Thugz.

I highly appreciate the people who contribute to my thread with positive or informative and knowledgeable posts.

If you want to express your opinion that's fine. But realize that your opinion will not change any of my decisions. I don't understand why you would get so upset over something that doesn't belong to you. I promise that "if" I change the color of my seats, it wont effect your life in anyway. So you can remain calm and collective. I'm asking for informative and experienced people to share there experiences with dying their seats.

Its the people with proof that will determine whether or not I dye my seats. Not the people with senseless opinions.

Apparently you don't know what an opinion is. Its a personal view, attitude, or appraisal. I don't care for your opinion. Lets input some information. Information: knowledge acquired through study or experience or instruction.
Now that you understand these terms use them correctly otherwise you just look ignorant and far more worthless than you appear to be at this time. Get outta here with your stolen parts..

your question could of been answered by doing a search but instead you decide to be a lazy *** and ask it anyways...imputing keywords is not as hard as you make it seem...look i used an example below.

im also curious as to your claims of me being a thief having stolen parts...please explain yourself...better yet post some proof to your invalid claims...maybe i have found the proof in your sig "Don't take me so seriously"

Actually it can't be answered through google. I've done that.
Try again.
I just have to point this out. Its kinda sad that i've been on honda-tech for about 2 months more than you, and you already have 4,028 posts, where as I only have nearly 300 posts. Today alone you've made 28 posts and counting. There are actually days that you've made over 40 post in one day. Now you gotta get some kind of recognition from guinness book or somethin. All i have to say, is that the world is alot bigger than honda-tech. Go out in world. Do something else with life.
