I got a 95' civic sedan 4 door. pretty cheap and it has a bent core support and inner fender wells are pretty distroyed on driver side. The "frame" rails are straight though which is weird. But the motor mount is shifted back about a 1/4" had it checked by body shop and mechanics. I took it in to a body shop and he said to get a front cut off a civic and he'd install it for cheap. He said to cut it up to the shock towers or a lil more back or up to the firewall if possible. Now for my question. Will the front cut coresupport and things from a 92-95 hatch work? I found one at the local wreckers for way cheap with the front sheet metal also. I'm posting up a few pictures also of the damage.

And also before I get flammed on this. Its going to run me less then $500 for all the work to be done and the parts. I've delt with the body shop many times and know people who have so I know hes good for his work and stands behind it 25+ years in the buisness same spot.

 

Any one got any insight on this? I'm hoping to go get the cut monday or tuesday.

Thanks. Thats what I was looking for. I'm gonna swap over the hatch front sheet metal to also. I'm thinking its cheaper for fogs and the lip. And its easier to find hatch/coupe body parts then sedans.

well here is a lil update. Got the front clip off that hatch. Here is some progress pictures...

Haha yea. The color is not my choice. The car is more of a redish with a white hood with some metal flake in it Idk what was going on with that. But all the under hood is like a spray can orange. Some people shouldnt work on cars. But it all looks straight from the out side.

Yeah dude it really sucks about the hatch. I was wrong on the year it was a 94' cx. 80,442 original miles 1 owner. Old lady passed left it in the will to her grandson 20ish? and he cut the muffler off and hot rodded it broke the timing belt and bent 3 valves and what ever lower end damage was done. Thats the story from the guy at the junkyard speedo and odo looked clean also like never swaped. Kinda really sad. Sorry to go on about that. lol

No he's just gonna cut what he needs off. I checked out a subi he was doing today and I really like how he does it. Fills it all in with body filler puddy and does the lil half circle things like oem. I don't know what color to shoot the bay in though. Black or od green like the rest of the car is going?

 

wow thats nuts yeah looking at the pic again i bet that rear end was messed up beyond repair for all we know that subframe was bent to hell lol.
You should paint it Medori Green The whole car that would be sick!
If i could go back and paint my car again i would have done it Medori green but the price would have shot up to haha my car was originally black and i had it painted the first 2 times by my sisters ex who was terrible first blue then white. then back to black (generic black) by one of my dads freinds who did a very good job. BUt someday maybe Medori green !

 

Yeah the first picture of the wheels sitting all weird and cocked / \ / something like that is cuz some one took the lug nuts off and just rocked the car and let it fall like that. Guys at that junkyard are weird. Getting my front cut to my house in the morning its at a buddys house at the moment because I had to clean out my garage. So more pictures in the am of the clip and stuff. Ugh.... probably no progress for a month or 2 but it will get there.
