Honda Integra Xsi motor/tranny swap into '91 Civic DX DPFI Auto
Currently driving a K swapped '98 EJ cx. Have had a bone stock '91 dx auto for quite some time, and recently acquired a B16a motor/tranny out of an Integra Xsi. Did some searches on B16 auto tranny swaps into EF chassis, but no relevant information was ever given, just the basic flame war.
Basically need information as to what type of physical modification is necessary to drop a larger, B-series automatic transmission out of a DA chassis Integra, into an EF chassis. Aside from the physical, there is also the question of wiring. The stock DX DPFI harness can be converted to MPFI VTEC with little problem for a manual gear box, but not much information, if any, is available for automatic transmission.
Any information relevant to the topic is welcome.

I would assume that you would be able to reuse the current a/t wirng from the original harness. If you also obtained the original b16 a/t transmission mount you will need to make some modes there unles someone like hasport (or any aftermarket mount company) have made them. The res should be pretty straight forwards. You might have to make a custom shift linkage (1/2 of your old one and the other 1/2 from the new transmission).

what kind of tuning is needed? its a stock B16A with an auto transmission that came from the same car? slap on the ecu that came with it and your done. there shouldnt be any tuning needed, especially since its all stock.
if youre boosting it or supercharging it the high/fast revolutions might break the tranny when shifting he will need some mods as far as revs and shifting and probably mods to his auto tranny gears and shift forks..or he will be changing his tranny couple times and he probably wont if he uses a stick tranny...

To clarify, in terms of power output, the ef will remain "stock" with the exception of the addition of the donor motor/drivetrain from the Xsi. Have no need to convert this vehicle to manual, already own the EJ K, want something a little different.
Again, if anyone who's read this post knows anyone with information as to exactly what type of mods are necessary for an auto B series tranny to fit in an EF chassis, direct them here.
