Default flywheel out

i whant to take a flywheel out but what size is the socket and
how do you stop the flywheel when when you try to lose the bolts

i know there is a special tool that stops the flywheel when you try to take loose the bolts ,but i dont know the name

anyone knows the size and the name of that tool and where to buy it

flywheel bolts should be 12point 17mm
i think you can find a flywheel holder at harbor freight, i just use an air gun (no holder neccessary)

i don't remember having to use anything to hold the fly wheel, but impact does help, What you can do though, you take the big bolts from the tranny that bolt it to the engine, put those in it, after you get one or two (try for opposite sides), get a big massive screwdriver screw in the bolts so some is sticking out, and rig it so the tension created with the screwdriver holds the wheel in place, make sure you don't have the screwdriver across any threads though, thats not good at all...hope this works for you (it did for me, no sweat)

you can put a rachet on the other end... at the crank pulley. just have someone hold it while you wrench away, that's what i did, its easy.
