Aftermarket steering wheel
What (mm) diameter wheel are you people using. Can anyone detail advantages or disadvantages between bigger and smaller wheels. I've heard different things track vs. autox etc. Just curious, thanks for any info.
I like them small, 330mm is a good size.
The smaller ones seem easier to handle. Once you go small, you'll never go back.
I'm so used to my small one that when I touch a friend's bigger one, it just doesn't feel right.

ummm...reid???
Once I get used to constantly handling a small one, the big ones feel almost as if they're just too big to handle. Whenever I'm touching a big one it just makes me long for my small one.
Marc, try a small one.

Nice,I was certainly suprised to see 9 replies already, plus a photo. I didnt' expect a steering wheel topic to turn into some underlying sexual chit chat
Thanks though. I was looking at the "spoon" wheel, the Momo Monte Carlo and it only comes in 320mm & 350mm. Do you guys think 320mm is too small?,it's only 10mm smaller.

If you go with a 350, I'd get something that has a different type of grip surface other than leather (like Yoshi's with the suede section).

Yoshi,is that the competition?champion? How do you like it? That's a suede top right? That's all,no more questions, thanks. Wheel looks good bye the way.

It's the MOMO Champion w/ suede top. I'm never going back to the stock wheel!

Yes you can get a removeable latch for your steering wheel. While it makes it slightly harder to steal your car they won't need a steering wheel when they have a flatbed.
I have a 330 mm Sparco Ring. The car is fun to drive but since i have no power steering I have been building muscles in places i never knew i had. I agree that once you get a smaller diameter steering wheel everything else seems like a school bus.

suede will get shiny after about 6 months due to the oil from your hands.
a brass brush will usually restore the nap of the suede - but eventually the suede gets hard and smooth.
