The "fabled" hf manifold for DIY turbo kits...questions
jw for those of u who have run this manifold on a setup what kinda numbers/boost it can withhold, also
how long should i expect it to last, generally speaking of course seein noone he can c into the future lol
btw...budget build for now, eventually legit stuff so plz don't tell me to buy a good mani now, i will
eventually
i promise lol

it will last for ever.
you can make as much power with it as exhaust manifold pressure will allow. small turbo, high boost, REALLY high exhaust manifold pressure, cylinder contamination.
larger turbo, less boost, satisfactory exhaust manifold pressure, moderate cylinder contamination
what im saying is it really depends on the rest of your setup.

tuned...390cc injectors w/resistor box and walpro 255 fp....stock motor, so overall this mani will last i take it..
I ran a .48/.60 turbo on one, for a little over a year at 15psi. Ran a best of 13.003 at 109 mph, did 5 track days, and never had an issue. The biggest problem i had, was a drain line, it made the turbo sit so low, had little slope in the line. Venting the bottom end was a huge help for me.

guys, very helpful info!! also, what's a fair price for one..i've found a couple $40 shipped and i'm told that's
a good deal..
With the manifold and adapter plate, you'll still have a rough time with the drain line slope. The mani/plate just hangs it so low. Get creative on your drain flange and pan and it'll be fine. I even did one with the same setup as you and the drain line was parrallel with the ground. The only time it smoked was driving down hills. That's worst case scenerio, though.
