00 integra ls problem please help!!!!!!

i bought a 00 integra ls it came with a obd1 ecu what can i do to pass smog,
1. should i pick up 00 integra ls ecu and reprogram everything
also can i get a 99 ecu obd2a and use a conversion harness obd2b to obd2a would that work

well for one, you should get the proper ECU for the engine... find out the reason why they used an OBD1 ECU in an OBD2 car (unless the engine is OBD1).
have you ran the car for smog test already? i heard if you run the car with a high-octane gas, it'll help with the smog inspection thing. (sorry, no smog inspection where i live, small redneck town FTMFW)

Try to advance the distributor a few degrees, My old co-worker was a DEQ specialist and he would always do this first to help people pass. Dunno the science behind it.
You could also try a jumper from OBD2 --> OBD1 to use your current computer. OBD1 is easier to tune if you have future plans for the motor.
