i just got my 91' dx hatch. it needed a new clutch so i went to autozone and bought one. the problem is none of them will bolt to the flywheel. so i took the bad clutch to autozone and looking at the pics on their computer it appears that the one i took out was from an awd civic. It was much smaller than the one that should be in it. does anyone know if an awd flywheel and cluctch will fit in my 1.5l??

 

most 88 and 89 models used a 200mm diameter clutch and matching flywheel - some used a 190mm diameter clutch with the same flywheel as for the 200mm clutch - 90 and 91 models used a 212mm diameter clutch and matching flywheel - the pressure plate attaching bolts on the 90-91 are closer to the outside edge of the flywheel than on the 88-89 - sounds like it may have the 88-89 flywheel and clutch in it - try matching up your old clutch with a new 88 or 89 clutch or you could swap to the 90-91 flywheel

You could get a Exedy clutch online for under 100 bucks.

 

duralast and with my brothers discount its $105. so i may as well get an exedy where can i find one that cheap?
