Weekend EP3 agenda! (New K Sport camber kit)
Hey guys,
So after a couple visits and much worthwhile use of my $140 lifetime alignment I decided that my -2.5 degrees camber had to go.
I ordered the Ksport camber kit from horsepowerfreaks.com here in Portland, OR and plan on installing it this weekend. I ordered it because David, the sales manager there really pushes the Ksport stuff and can hook you up with a pretty good deal on it too. One of the track M3s that runs a HPF turbo kit uses Ksport suspension stuff and it kicks some major butt. If you are interested in ANY Ksport stuff talk to David and I guarantee he will hook you up with a better price than what they advertise on their site. This camber kit is sweet. Look like it is very high quality aluminum with a high quality orange coating on it. I will give a full review after they are installed (although there probably isn't much to review on a camber kit).
I also called CorSportUSA about their sway bar endlinks because I have been having problems with them making a lot of noise on my Progress setup. This next piece of info should be stickied or something because I see a lot of people giving incorrect setup tips for these things!
CorSportUSA says that the adjustable endlinks they sell should be adjusted exactly to factory length if possible! The ball and socket need to be as close to a 90 degree angle as possible to avoid putting strain on the joint. I didn't know this and just adjusted them to whatever looked good (which was way too short and put a really extreme angle on the ball and socket) and so this weekend I plan to readjust them to see if it changes anything. CorSport says they have a 1 year warranty but I told them I have had them for over a year and they still said to send them in and they will send me a new set for free. All I have to pay is shipping to send the old ones in, they will even pay return freight. That is awesome customer service in my opinion and I appreciate it. I deal with a lot of aftermarket companies at my job and most wouldn't even warranty them, let alone pay half the freight.
I also plan on installing a new set of front upper strut mount bearings since I crushed mine yet again. Hopefully this time I can keep them from grenading into a billion pieces. Any recommended tips as to preserve the life of these things on aftermarket suspension would be great! I can't run a pillowball setup because they won't fit my Koni/B-G spring combo.
And last but not least I will also be installing a set of Energy Suspension motor mount inserts. I bought these a year ago but it was such a pain in the *** I didn't want to bother with it. I can tell my mounts are a little worn now (with 85,000 miles) and just need to get it done. I will have the front end torn apart anyway so I might as well... I will also give a full review for this stuff when I get it done. I would like to get the engine torque strut but the motor mount inserts are only $25 bucks so I will start with those to see if they help. I am not having a huge problem with engine movement just every once in a while.
I am installing all this stuff on Monday. If anyone wants a write up on the DIY for this stuff let me know. If I get enough people asking for it I will go ahead and spend the extra time taking pictures and crap.
Sorry this is long, but thanks for reading! :D

Ahhh just like me...always heads out to the garage with an over-ambitious list of things to get installed in a single day/weekend.
Good luck man! Let us know how everything goes.

I guess my only advantage over doing this stuff in my driveway or garage is that I have a full auto shop to use at my disposal. So basically I can put it up on the lift and pull out the air tools which makes it 100 time easier than doing work on jackstands. That, plus help from a buddy or two should hopefully guarantee success but so far the car is about 2 point ahead of me in the "unexpected **** going wrong" department when installing aftermarket parts. The most recent and probably worse of them being breaking a bunch of studs and bolts while installing a new cat-back. Had to run pretty much open header for a little over a month. Fail.
