Default Imrpove shifting of an Automatic Transmission

Ok, first of all, I have an automatic tranny, and I can't make the swap because I share the car with a person who does not know how to drive a manual.

Anyway, I read somewhere about a BMW that had an enahcement in the ECU to allow the automatic tranny to shift a little faster, and at higher RPMs, and downshift when slowing down. Basically maks the tranny more "sporty", akin to activating sport mode. My 98 EX accord does not have a sports mode, and I was wondering if a similar improvement can be made to my car. Any suggetions?

Only option as far as shifting goes is a level10 clutch disk replacement + torque converter rebuild which'll cost ya almost as much as a swap. Only good thing is you'll have a honda auto tranny that should be able to handle up to 400hp and only have a drivetrain lose of about 12-17%.

http://www.levelten.com I visited them in person they seem like good guys, even spent 2 hours talking with me because I had so many questions.

either level10 or convert to manual and teach the other person how to drive a manual...its not too hard to learn..

you want it to shift harder-valve body upgrade (you send them a tranny)

you want it to handle lots of power-install heavy duty clutch plates

you want to brake launch at higher than stock stall-torque converter upgrade

-level ten does all this but you better have lots of friggin money.

Reguardless of what people tell you, do not get a shift kit. They just screw everything up.

Oh, and there is no sex in the champaign room. Reguardless of what people tell you, there is no sex in the champaign room.

Give your lazy companion a choice: learn to drive stick or walk
