Well since I'm too poor to buy a real Chargespeed wing, I thought I might try to make my own. I was wondering if anyone had any idea on the dimensions of the wing, like how long or how tall it needs to sit above the roof. Any help would be awesome and i might make a how-to if it turns out.

 

Second pic isn't chargespeed it's TRA-Kyoto and they don't make the kit for the public.

They have a fiberglass wing on ebay that is like 150$ shipped and it's exactly like a Chargespeed,J's,Livesport wing but it's not a complete wing per se. It's like a OEM Wing Cover (just goes over your OEM Spoiler with 3M Tape)

 

i know the second one was a tra-kyoto but i just wanted to give the people another view of what i am talking about. i know chargespeed isnt the only ones who make this style wing. I plan on making it a full replacement from the oem wing. that cover over the oem wing is just non-sense. but if anyone has a chargespeed, j's, livesport wing could you please measure the dimensions of it and get back to me.

Not much for show but it's the look that I wanted for like $19, it's stainless steel that I got for $1.25 a pound.


The top to bottom is 7"


The width is 42 1/2"


The back to front is 11 1/3" as for about the roof mine's about flat with the roof with a little lip at the end.

yeah that definantly helps. I just wanted an idea of measure ments cause i didnt want it too short or too long out the back. But yeah since its on a 4 door the measurements might vary. but thanks man i really like your sedan btw.

looks like he just bent a sheet of steel and rivited it in place. then bent and cut to fit the body.

yea i still cant make up my mind if i like the chargespeed wing or not. one side of me says its too big and the other side says badass jdm ... idk yet tell i have it on but hey ill let you know if im gettin rid of it.

Yeah, you can get the kit cheaper at Harbor Freight Tools, like 15$ for the gun plus an assortment of rivets.

 

that would be fawkin dope. id pay for that and shipping if you decide to get rid of it. get some pictures of it! and then measure it for me.

 

Alright, so i tried my skills at microsoft paint and keep in mind im no pro at computer picture editing (especially on a laptop) haha. This is just a rough draft of what i had in mind. Mainly i want the bottom part of the wing to be an inch or 2 lower than the normal chargespeed (just to mix things up). Im also going to try to keep the stock oem rear spoiler light involved with the setup. any feed back would be awesome im trying to make something you guys would like to see as well.
