Default riced out rex...can it be saved...

well, i baught a 91 crx hf with 17's on it, no name lowering springs, exhaust (ghetto),and riced out interior. meaning it is all covered in blue material. the only thing not blue is the dash (the blue peeled off and was replaced with new dash).. my question is, should i swap my b16 from my hatch in the pics, or just dd the rex for the fuel economy. (143k miles btw)... and as for the rims.. well im looking to replace with 15's. either way im gonna trash all the blue crap.

yes im willing to, and i know it can im more less asking what would be a better plan for it as i like the light weight of the hf and the cheaper insurance also.. but i like the si beacause of the sun roof and back seats.. will the crx really handle/be that much faster than the hatch? it also seems like a b16 crx is more saught after than a hatch

The better plan is what you want more.

Honda CRX, A car riced out. Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the technology. We have the capability to build it better than it was before. Better, stronger, faster.

lol sorry, six million dollar man flash back.

Its going to take some time and alot of effort. Just up to you to decide if its worth it or not. good luck with whatever you decide to do.

well, im really looking for the better car to start with. they both need work, the rex has less miles but they both have some honda cancer. and both have been repaired before using bondo or something of the same. and the rex is missing or needs basically all the rear interior. i may trade engines/trannys. gut the rex and use the hatch for a dd.. but still the high insurance just for a dd

The CRX is not that bad. But if i were you I would look over both cars real well and see which one is in better condition (ie. rust, worn bushings, hack jobs, water leaks and so on.) These cars arent worth much if they are hacked up rust buckets.. IMO

well, the civic has all new ball joints and tie rod ends, i just put them on.. everything is tight/good on the civic also as i drive it everyday. and i baught new shocks for the rex as it was bouncing around. witchever i choose i will fix the rust right with metal. and i just ordered maxxis 501 15' rims with new tires for witchever also.

and what would make the rear sit so much lower than the front? the rears are tucked and fronts have around 1/2 gap...
