Default 1989 Honda Civic Hatchback Project

Awhile back I had a 1989 Honda Civic Hatchback, that I traded for another car. Well I just got it back today via some more trades. And let me say, the guy that had it RICED! It out BIG time, and ran the **** out of the car. My goal is to take all the crap off that he put on, and get it back to stock with a few mods, but no where near what he did. I might just pull all the good parts off this one, and junk it and buy a 91 Hatch shell that Im looking at.

You may want to wrapped those battery positive (+) terminal next to the air intake tube.It just too close to each other.

i'd say definitely junk that chassis. it needs an assload of work.

-molded rear bumper is going to be a pain in the dick for one
-he decided to remove the door moldings for some reason also, which looks ugly as **** and will take many hours to remove and reattach stock trim.
-weird **** attached to the front bumper
-taillights
-hood
-muffed up passenger side fender
-riced interior
-still a DPFI turd

i wouldn't touch this car with a 10 ft pole lol

Tail lights are stock, all he did was paint over them. He also used TONS of bondo to fill in both sides of the door molding.

This will be a project for sure, but I will see what I can do.

He spray bombed the car like 4 times, and laid the paint down thick. Same with the bondo. He also painted every interior piece with cheap spray paint, so the whole interior needs replaced, the carpet and back seats are trashed, the dash is dash is trashed, the gauge cluster is trashed, the headliner is trashed. Almost everything in the car is trashed.

Over 800 posts without realizing that an inline four has a single header?

rip off the front bumper, rear bumper, lights, hood, seats, gauges, etc, and scrap them them strip the rest of the car down and give it a good stock paint job, then go to the junk yard and find all the stock parts you need plus a few basic mods like a stereo, header, exhaust, suspension and rims, and your car will be returned to its old glory, show us pics when thats done
