i recently cracked my b18a1 block and came across a b20 block for a steal. i was wondering if my internals from my a1 would fit in the b20 block? will it raise the compression? or lower it? is it even possible? any help is greatly appreciated

 

A B20 uses a 84mm piston size, the B18 uses an 81, the pistons can not be swapped!

are the b20 rods the same stroke as the ls ones? im using the ls rods, bearings,crank, and the b20 pistons

 

The b20 is just an 84mm LS. i believe that the rotating assembly (aside from pistons) is the same

correct. for the most part, a b20 is exactly the same an ls except for as stated above about the pistons being 84mm instead of 81mm, and the intake manifolds are different. but as you are using only the b20 block, you won't have to worry about the intake manifolds being different.
