bought a wagon last week and had to drive it home 40 miles... in the city it drives fine but when i hit the freeway once i hit 70 my check engine light goes off but no changes in how it runs. and when i try to pull the code... nothing happens.. the light doesn't blink at all.. shut the car off and start it and its as if nothing ever happens will drive fine in the city but hit 70 again and same thing.. any suggestions?

 

i have the same problem in my wagon, except mine just pops on whenever it wants. lol. driving doesnt change or anything. its just a stupid light.

 

have u pulled a code or its a no go

 

at first it didnt really bother me, but after a while a took it to auto zone so they can hook a jumer to it and find the code fast but they said that because its such an old car they dont use that style anymore. lol. go figure, but they said if i take it to the honda dealership they can read it but i didnt bother dong that cause they would probably charge up the a$$ just to find the code. so i figured since its not effecting the way it drives than ill leave it.

although i think mine has something to do with the fuel pump, cause after that light turns on ill turn the car off and sometimes it wont turn back on, that CEL will stay on. also besause when i turn the key all the way over i cant hear the fuel pump kick on.

personally if its not effecting the way the car preforms i wouldnt worry, its a honda and they go forever.
