Alternator solenoid fuse popping, what causes this?

Alternator solenoid fuse popping, what causes this?

Ok first off this is my car
91 civic si 84k original miles
sleeved built D16z6
turbo'd

dont really need to go into details just wanna give you and idea, but here is my problem.
The alternator solenoid fuse keeps popping the second i try and start the car it pops and there is a solid cel no code and i have never had this problem in a car before so im guessing that its my alternator?

any help is appriciated thanx

Sounds like one of your wires is grounded.

Fuse # 14 controls the following:
Voltage Regulator (IG)
Emission control solenoid valves
PGFI main relay
PGFI-FI ECU (IG1)
Fuel Pump
ELD unit
EACV

Is your fuel pump stock or aftermarket?
{Aftermarket have been known to blow the fuse}

You might have the alternator tested..
If it is overcharging,it will pop the fuse..
Also:Make sure all electrical connections are tight..
