1996 honda accord wont start tried just about everything
car wont start tried everything to start i changed the main relay , fuel pump ,fuel rail, timing belt ,balance shaft belt ,distributor, coil, engine wire harness car is getting spark and plenty of fuel but car has no codes i scanned it multiple time car turnes over normally not fast i tried just about everything i can think of please if someone can help me let me know and the car does have plenty of compression
IF you have all the things indicated, fuel, spark etc, then that leaves compression, but 1st chek your timing. just because you have fuel and spark doesnt mean your timing is correct and if its far enough out of whack it aint gonna start.. if your timing is correct then do a compression test. if your compression is bad its, overhaul time,, or easier, get another motor.
appolgies,, i missed the part where you mentioned good compression. has to be timing. get some starting fluid too. blast some of that SH(^ in there and see if you get at least some form of wanting to start.
you mentioned you replaced the distributor?
make sure you do not put the rotor on wrong...meaning in the wrong direction. this will send the electrical spark to the wrong wire at the wrong time.
and as mentioned above, check timing.
