Default Jdmdrew 2010 CW J32 Type R Build/Update Thread.

Hey guys! I am proud to say that I have finally acquired my childhood dream car and am here now to present it to you guys on Honda-Tech. Its pretty much a bare shell so there isn't too much to see but I am going to be sending it off to paint very soon. Enjoy!

Got this WRECKED CL for the J series.. Surprising thing to me was that it still drove! We got it off the trailer and were really skeptical on whether it would start or not so we pulled up my EJ8 and jumped it and it started. It also ran strong so the motor is still in tact and very healthy with 92,000 miles on it. Other than that, Enjoy the pics! I am dropping the motor out tonite. Stay tuned

F*cked UP

Money Shot

Enjoy you guys!

That will be the 2nd R (to my knowledge) with the J-swap. Good luck!

Thanx to all the haters and supporters. You are what keep my build going. haha @ Notorous, Hasports mounts have 2 mounting spots that actually make the J fit under the hood with less than average ground clearance and im going this route because to me, K is starting to get played. Im the type of guy that likes to do things differently than others. To my knowledge, i think the J is a bit more than 30lbs heavier than the B. Thats what i was told, but it seems far fetched so dont quote me. Updates will be up later.

It's a theft recovery R I don't see what the big deal is. That car would never be the same since it was stolen and rape so if he plans on rebuilding it going b/k/j then it don't matter to me as long as it gets back on the road

i wouldn't do that for the ITR. it **** everything up.

get a civic hatch and do this project.. you're destroying the ITR's superhandling ability with that J motor.

Yo, I haven't seen an ITR with a D Series in it lately. That's different. And it's also not played out. Sounds like a win-win for you.

Build thread explosion! H&R Block is helping bring some Rs back to life Whether or not you like going J-series, it will be an interesting build thread. Make sure you get some HQ pics of your work when you really dig in.
