want to swap a sohc vtec but dont know what i need

Icon2 want to swap a sohc vtec but dont know what i need

hey everyone I have a 1991 hatch si all stock but i want to swap a sohc vtec i need to know if i have to change over from a obd0 to obd1 and also what kind of things do i need like ECU or wireing or anything at all thanks.

your gonna need a p28 ecu ,a jumper harness obd0 to obd1 to adapt the new ecu to the old harness-vtec distributor obd1-you can keep the stock axles,stock cable tranny stock motor mounts-since its an si engine harness you just need to adapt it to the new engine-you could go to the junkyard and cut off the plugs you need from a 92 civic si or ex model-and you need a throttle cable from an 92 civic si or ex.or you could get someone to wire it up for $120-200.the motor swap is easy because the engines are almost identical,no clearance issues or anything....

thanks for the info i done B16 swaps before but am trying to stay smog legal a sohc seems way more simple

Drift pretty much covered it. If you need help wiring it up let me know as i have done this swap a couple times now. I use the stock plus from the MPFI Dizzy and use a 89 Teg green plug for the green/blue green/ yellow wires.
