Default 90 - 93 accord tranny problem.... please help (auto)

Ok so here's the deal i bought a 91 accord automatic ex from my buddy with a bad transmission. So I thought i would just get another automatic tranny and slap it in. Well i got the tranny out of a 93 thinking it would be exactly the same. It's not. Is there anyway to make this tranny work?? Also the car drives until it warms up then when you put it into gear it wont do anything. Could that just be the torque converter? Thanks for your help in advance!!

what do you mean it's not the same? it's doesn't bolt on, or it doesn't work?

Cruise control controls the engine as is not part of the tranny.
