engine won't rev passed 6k???
throws up a code every once in a while, im usually driving and havent checked it. code goes away and returns intermittently.
drives fine, but when i hit 6000 rpm it sounds like it's hit its rev limit.
stock CRX si, w/ stock engine, D16A6. stock as hell only has intake.
any ideas guys?

really and code 1 is o2 which throws your car into closed loop fix it but code 1 wont make ur rev limit change i have code 1 only cause my headers are p-off my ecu cause of the 02 bung location. my tuned rev limit is 7500 on my zc

My bet is that your tach is off and you really are at the 7200RPM limit for whatever it is. Our stock gauges are known to be off a decent percentage towards the end of their "needle sweep" and can be pretty optimistic on top end runs and misleading as an accurate RPM reading.
Look you are throwing a code for your o2 sensor and you should never take a single cam d16 past 6000rpms unless you have a chipped ecu or else if you do its not going to get fuel to ur engine and ur gonna blow dat beach up

an a6 redlines at 6500rpm in stock form. y8 at 6900 rpm and z6 at 7200 rpm.
Not to mention how stupid 'chipped' ECU's are anyway. Like removing the rev limiter and making the car run rich makes it safer to over rev it somehow.

anyway, im gonna stick w/ my rev being a lil off. i have enough for a jdm d15b now so im just gonna run this engine till it starts to feel weak. still runs great.
just a quick question, why did they make the y8 rev lower than the z6?
and to CRizzl JDM <3COX my bros stock a6 was taken to redline minimum of once a day for 8 months, swapped to a z6, and the a6 is still running in a friends car 1 1/2 years later.
