bear with me don't know much about tunning...I have 99 civic coupe lsv turbo coming soon...getting honadata s300.. ?Do i need to get y band to tune..or its all thru the ecu...

if you are doing the tuning yes you will need to buy a wideband. if your are not then no you wouldnt. the wideband would be hooked up to an input on the ecu.

A wideband is always a good thing to have in the car, I would suggest getting one even if you won't be tuning the car yourself.

If you are taking your car to a tuner, which I would suggest since you are asking a question like this, then the tuner will supply the wideband for the tuning session so you wouldn't absolutely need to have one.
