Keyless entry lock and unlock doesn't work
I just installed an alarm with keyless entry in my car.
I used this wire chart in my install, http://www.commandocaralarms.com/wir...Civic/676.html
Everything works fine except my lock and unlock.
I did not use a relay to wire the lock or unlock.
Could this be the reason why my lock and unlock doesn't work?

What kinda alarm system did u use? (brand) Most have a negitive trigger for lock/unlock output by defalt by some have a lil jumper in side u have to switch. U don't need a relay for - trigger locks, did u test the wires b4 u actually wired them up?
How do I test the wires?
are these factory actuators or ones you installed? like was said above if they are negative trigger locks then the relay is not needed.
i put this together when i did remote keyless on my hatch and depending on your situation it may prove useful.
it uses 2 5-pin SPDT relays

I think they are negative trigger. I am not sure.

If it is factory then it is a - trigger and the way to test it would b with a test light, u touch the test light to one wire at a time and then hit the lock button and u should c power at rest and ground when locking. Then switch to the unlock wire and same thing, power at rest and ground when unlocking with the button. On a lot of 96+ civic's the lock wires where behind the radio or thru the radio harness. U could also use a jumper wire and ground 1 side and the touch the wires 1 at a time and c if it locks or unlock the door, u have to becareful doing that tho cause u could blows some fuses and/or pop air bags. The SRS system is usually clearly marked with yellow wire lume and yellow tape tho.
My power lock switch doesn't work.
The main reason I got an alarm is for the keyless entry.
So if the trigger is negative what do I do?
I am a little confused now. Haha.

As long as the output of the alarm is - and u have tapped the right wires it should work, however if ur switch doesn't work because the lock/unlock moduel is bad then the keyless isn't going to work either.
like civic-r8711 said, if the keyless module is bad, then wiring it through the factory lock unlock triggers won't work. you have to either find the issue with that module, or bypass those 2 wires and go straight to the wire at the actuators.
I tried using relays to work the locks but it didn't work.
I am going to go to the place I purchased the alarm from to see if they can help me.

If u use relays like D16SiHatch posted a diagram of then u have to go straight to the actuators for that to work and that is what the lock/unlock moduel consists of as well.
That is fine, the actuators work off of revers polarity, which means one wire grounds and the other gets power to lock and then to unlock it is reversed.
The store I returned the alarm to said they could only give me store credit.
I am thinking of just getting a different alarm.
Is this the proper way to wire the relays?
