Jerk on local forum thinks ITRs run low 15's stock.
Okay, I need something to give this ******** to pound into his tiny brain that ITRs run high 14's. He's quite confident that all he has ever seen is, "low 15's at best!" WTF!? This guys is really pissing me off. Actually the argument started on whether his POS DSM can take my hybrid. This guy is about to get educated.

Fucken egotistical DSM ****.
I can't wait to beat this guy down in my hybrid.Either way, if you guys have some good documentation that 97-01 ITRs can run high 14's with even "average" drivers, please give me links or something. Grr...
Yellow Dragon, who did run a 15.1 bone stock when he "first" got his ITR (1500 miles). Later ran a 14.5 on slicks. Now he needs new tires, but is a broke white man.
well 15's are for the shitty drivers and 14's are for the better drivers, so that dude is somewhat right.
Oh wait a min did i respond to a drag racing post

most do only seem to run low 15's stock.. Location and track condition really make a big difference.
Personally here at Sears Point Raceway (Infineon Raceway now)
I ran a 14.42.. but it was not "stock"

location is very important ....
The books state its a high 14 second car, and there are numerous members of this board who run low 14's with their Stock ITR
wut kind of DSM? DSM's are very quick stock..like the gsx eclipses and the talon tsi's. Very little mods and you can break into the 13's with them easily.

If you even look at a range of times from mags, it is 14.7-15.2. And remember they test using standard conditions like full tank of gas. So already that shows the R can pretty easily do high 14stock.
Run on empty tank, good track/weather conditions, skilled driver that shifts at perfect points(in the red or not), and youll get high-mid 14s for sure unless ur car is a lemon.

I ran a 15.3 with an AEM CAI and shitty tires at LACR which is in Palmdale, Ca. If you go to http://www.lacr.net, it says to multiply your E/T by .9769 or something, so if I did, then I guess my 1/4 mile time would be 14.8 at a normally elevated track.

It all depends on driver and conditions, track being good, driver shifting at proper rpms, not no 8000 rpms crap, so many people get shitty times it seems especially their first time because they are scared to hit 8500 rpms. Another area people screw up alot is launching, lots of people are scared to let some psi out and slip the clutch at like 6000 rpms or around there, or when they take psi out and launch at like 3500 rpms
, and some people just can't drive good enough, its a drivers car....can't be scared to drive it hard...

Also don't run on no gas at least have like a quarter tank, i find that my car pulls better there than at like the gas at the empty line probably because of gas sloshing in and out of range in the tank....at least my but dyno thinks so...
I ran 15.040 with a 4500 rpm launch, Intake/Headers and some Azenis at California Speedway (I heard it was a sorry *** track).
Next time I'm launching higher at around 5000-6000 RPM so 14.999 here I come!

California? No wonder the humidity and weather in general must be hot as hell lol
And launching higher like that will make a much bigger difference than that!

my friend with this '00 R hit a very 14.4 with just an intake (stock tires). with a exhaust and VAFC (tunned by autothority) he hits hight 13s (stock tires). I was impressed
You mean to tell me that after the 3+ yrs I've been here... no one is claiming they run high 14's now? I've read numerous posts where many people on this board said they ran sub 15's bone stock.

BudMan - who wants to run against the hybrid on the strip and/or track
hehe
fwiw - when I grabbed 1st place at a local event last year running 14.9-15.1 the only other R was completely stock running 15.8-16.1.
Temp=102, humidity ~80% at KCIR in Kansas City.
foot note: the final run was against a stock DSM & we were both dialed in 14.99. I took him all the way on my crappy Pirellis.

Todd, am I missing something here??? What difference does it make if you are going to race your hybrid anyway? Unless you kick his *** in your "stock" R it means nothing

Yellow Dragon, who would OWN Budman in the straights and would get owned on the roadcourse (need brakes).
Hey, are you guys going to KCIR next Sunday for that import drag?
