Default EDM/JDM cluster

I bought a jdm cluster from ebay, but the cluster is from france! It's an 88-89 if anyone could help me with the schematics or what pins need to be swapped that would be appreciated much! It's being swapped into an 89 civic si

one simple method is to simply unscrew the tach and speedo and swap those into your cluster, as long as yours has the same sort of layout. Besides the edm cluster has a few warning sensors that usdm civic's arent even wired for, like the low fuel light.
To get the entire edm cluster funtioning seems like at lot of unnecessary work when most likely all you want is the speedo and tach.

I did this with my cluster btw.

Oh and your lucky you got an edm cluster, its simple to swap the guts out of and you wont have to change your VSS to electric either.

thanks for the tips, so I think it's possibly a canadian cluster, any info on that?

oh yeah, the white needles where on usdm civic's, EDM's are orange.

It must be canadian if it has french words and white needles.

thats a bummer
you might want to contact the seller and see what they can do or get ebay involved if the seller refuses to help out.

After reading just the 1st post....i thought, yes it looks like just a regular Canadian model 88-89 Civic/crx Si cluster, nothing special about it! I have an extra myself, it's worth about $25
It should plug right in to a us model car.

Does the cdm cluster have a red backlight like jdm?

I haven't run a stock cluster in such a long time, i don't recall what color it lights up in. Anyway, here's a pic of a stock cluster i have sitting around
