above is correct u can find the wire right at the trunk lock itself. if your referring to setting up the alarm to open the trunk you can get a trunk popper off of ebay for about 25 bucks. pretty easy to install

just throwing it out there, be sure to always use a diode on the accessory trigger wire. (the wire you use to detect the hood or trunk being opened). that way the trunk light doesn't come on when the hood is popped, and other things don't get screwy.

that shouldnt matter. the alarm should have its own wire for the hood. ive never used a diode n any of my hondas but ive only used compustar and viper alarms.

yes. the trunk popper in there now is cable actuated. you need an electric one for the alarm to electrically signal the trunk to open. IMO if your alarm has a sensitivity setting you shouldnt need a popper to scare off anyone opening the trunk. only if you wanna look cool walking to your car and popping the trunk with you alarm. hardly anyone would notice though IMO.

it does come in handy especially when i go grocery shopping u can disarm and pop the trunk before getting to the car. its usefullness is no different than having keyless entry. who is going to setup an alarm and not wire up keyless entry. it just makes life easier.

i assume you have checked the wiring in the leaver then? or maybe the lever pushes a switch and the switch is bad?
