Default My EF Sedan was stolen last weds and recovered yesterday. I need to get her running.

Like title says, last week weds some ***-hole thief stole my DD sedan. They took my Drag DR20 wheels, TEIN SS suspension, OBD0-OBD1 Jumper harnes, P28, Battery, and the oil cap from the VC. WTF????????

So what i need to get her mobile again is a P28 ECU and a Jumper harness. Im also broke from having to pay 250 to get her out of the effing Impound. Those guys are just as bad as the a-holes who took my car. If anyone has any parts that they can shoot my way for a low low price let me know as im in need of my car. sucks to bumm rides.

Moderators i know this may not be tech related but im in need.

thanks!

You didn't start the engine yet, did you?
For such a pathetic theft job, I would be very suspicious about that missing oil cap.
Could it be possible that they poured something into the engine?

I thought the same thing. I pulled the dip stick and the oil looked ok. Who knows though, i dont have a battery to get her started anyway.

Forgot to mention that they broke my driver side window. Bastards!

So basically, you had all of these expensive parts on a 20 year old Civic and hardly any money in the bank to pay a $250 impound fee?

did u have security on it? all those parts and no security isn't good when thieves are scoping you out. Good Luck on the rebuild. Get a car cover or an alpha lock on top of an alarm. Keep it layered, even for an old car.

No, i didn't have any anti-theft. I was naive to think that since my car is pretty quiet and i kept to myself that it wouldn't attract attention. Guess i was wrong. Now i have to piece it back together. Sucks you cant have nice things without thieves trying to eff you over.

Just add lil info, kill switch and alarm wont do any good.
Professional car thief can disable your expensive alarm and remove your car battery within few sec while you away or sleep.

Here few things might help little, buy those clutch pedal lock or gas pedal lock.
Get those removable steering wheel and get the lock in it, so even they bring steering wheel its not gonna work.

3rd, get those extra lock that you lock your shift lock in and hand brake on.

4th, for your wheel get those 4 different set of lock nut set, so 1 rims has different 4 lock key.

5th, Have you seen those DOT tire, wheel lock? The one that they use if owe too much money for parking violation, its the metal lock goes on the ground, get 2 of them one in the front and one in the back see if they be able to tow it.

Forget the kill switch, my buddy EK hatch gone (stolen) with the alarm and kill switch.

And if you worry about your SIR seat, weld the nut.
Good luck.

Put one in the right front (passenger side) put 2nd one in the left rear.

Dont forget remove all those tow hook under your honda frame.

make a switch that makes the doors and windows lock (permanently) and pushes sleeping gas through the vents whenever you try to start the car w/ the switch flipped you know? i always wanted to do that. but knowing the system the theives would probably sue me for it and win... haha. either way it was probably minorities.

Thanks for the humor guys, i really needed that. Truth is, this is the 2nd time this car has been taken. The 1st time i got lucky as all they took was the wheels. This 2nd time i got cleaned out.

I really dont want to build it again only to have it stolen a 3rd time. Even with some anti-theft, it doesnt gurantee that they wont take it again. Especially since whom ever did know where i park my car. only thing i can think of is parking it in the driveway and put my big *** Jeep in front of it.

I use to have a Red Sedan with a JDM front and when i parted that out i kept the wheels and suspension and swapped it over to the burgandy Sedan. So before i swapped all the parts i never thought to get any security for it cause it was a beater.

Are there any cheap GPS tracking devices that can be used? I remember seeing a write up on it a while back.
