Default b20vtec sandwich plate and oil cooler problem..please help!

ok i have a b20vtec with a golden eagle oil line kit and sandwich plate..the motor is bran new never been started from a well known machine shop in new jersey (this is the main reason why i dont wanna take any risk i spent a lot of money on the set up)

now the problem im having is that im being told by a freind of mine that i cant use the stock oil cooler that comes on gsr's on my b20 (because i have the golden eagle sandwich plate hooked up also)...now mind you i have it all hooked up and the motor is in my car already but i dont want any problems soo if i cant use these parts ill have no choice but to take it off...im also using from a gsr the part that the hoses hook up to as well as where the thermostat is..im also having a lil bit of a problem tring to figure out where all the liltle hoses by the tb go some pics would be great if someone has this...as far as the hoses on the back of the block i have all that figured out including the ones the go on the oil coller

if someone can please help me out with this it will apreciated thanks in advanced

heres a pic

I have seen multiple people rin both a factory oil cooler and a sandwhich plate, i currently have just a sandwhich adapter to feed the head as well as a oil cooler, i am wanting to install the factory oil cooler back in as well but i am worried about all that weight hanging off the block as well as clearance issues, ( i use a tall filter) so to answer your question, YES its do able, jsut make sure you use new oil rings for a good seal and go for it

Yes you can, make sure to grab the fitting that goes into the block, from the motor you are taking the oil cooler from. ( if no then you have to order from honda/acura and last time I did it, it was a 10 day wait ).

I'm currently going to install one on my project b20

well i turned my car on today for the first time and i had a quart of oil on the ground soo i guess this wasnt a good idea...any ideas on why this happend??? im using a bran new oil filter and the seal on it is also new (eventho i dont think it has anything to do with the filter)

the oil was comin from where the oil coller meets the sandwitch plate

I think I just figured out why, before I put my b20v together I found out that the factory bolt that bolts in the oil cooler and then there's a thread for the oil filter, I realize that same bolt looking piece that came with the sandwich plate is covering the holes in the factory bolt. I think that maybe the reason why it's leaking between the oil cooler and sandwich plate because it's not letting it get to the oil filter. Correct me if I'm wrong but if anybody knows how I can fix this lmk I'm stuck at this part as well🙏🏼
