i understand that the b18a1 came in 90-93 ls/gs/rs da's, and i understand 90-91's are obd0 and 92-93's are obd1.

i have a block + rotating assembly (no head, no trans) nothing besides the bottom end.

im curious to know if there is a way to tell what year block is.

any information would help.

 

There is no difference between them, identical blocks. The difference is in the intanke, ECU and some minor details.

 

^ Yep, what he said. All you would need to do is get a head with obd1 parts, bolt it on and you'll be fine.
