Default HELP: vtec not working

hi guys, i have a 07 civic si and my VSA and traction light come on. when i go over 5800 rpms the vtec doesnt work and it only lets me go to 7500rpms and not 8000, i plugged in the obd2 scanner and it read camshaft positioning...could that be the camshaft positioning sensor?

Probably. I would take it to honda or order a new cps and see if that helps. Probably shouldn't cost much foe the sensor

Ya my Vtec broke monday .. The car would rev up to 3500 and bog down. Took it to the dealer and they said my Vtec solenoid was stuck. <3 Warranty!

So magically a valve that won't float when the engine is turning at 8k rpms will float because his vtec solenoid is stuck? Well I'll be!

Just so you know, that is not the reason he shouldn't push his engine that hard when the solenoid is stuck. Research more about how i-vtec works before making such statements.

dude are you retaded?
when your car is on low profile (not in vtec)
you're not supposed to push it past 6k because you can float a valve or cause
valvetrain damage. when you're in vtec its a different story.
it looks like you need to do the research you moron.
