Default Cig. Lighter Wiring

Does anyone know how to easily change around the cigarette lighter outlet wiring to have a constant/direct connection to the battery?

I have a solar battery charger that I want to connect via the cig. lighter outlet. When the car is off there is no electrical connection through the cig. outlet (checked with a multimeter). Thanks.

Look at the fuse box under the dash.
There should be connections available for an "always on" line to tap into.

The wires from the back of the cig lighter itself should also be there, tied into the fuse panel, in case you'd rather re-wire that instead of running new wires.

Yeah I'd much rather just put move the current wires around at the fuse panel rather than running all new wires. Thanks for the input.
